Many research interests are represented within the Department of Medicine, at the levels of basic science, clinical investigation, and/or translational research. Many Dept. members are appointed to the OHRI, and conduct research within one of the 6 specific OHRI programs (Clinical Epidemiology, Chronic Disease, Cancer Therapeutics, Regenerative Medicine, Neurosciences, and Vision). Researchers are also appointed to the University of Ottawa, and may thereby align with the research priorities of the Faculty in Cardiovascular Sciences or Brain/Mind.
The Ottawa Hospital Department of Medicine Resident Research Day is one of the highlights of the academic year. This event represents an opportunity to showcase the talents of our residents and fellows engaged in research. Participants benefit by developing the skills necessary to conduct and presents research, as well as by networking with their colleagues.
As a first step to enabling your participation in Resident Research Day, you are encouraged  to link with one of our faculty. The link below provides a complete list of individual Faculty members research interests.
Our faculty is eager to impart their knowledge and experience in medical research with the ultimate goal of one day seeing you become an independent researcher!
