Medical Grand Rounds are held weekly on Tuesdays (September to June) from 8:00 – 9:00 am and are hosted by the Department of Medicine through the support of it’s Continuing Medical Education Committee, The Ottawa Hospital.
Rounds are videoconferenced to all the The Ottawa Hospital sites (Civic, General and Riverside) as well as the Montfort Hospital and the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre. The sessions are also webcast to Eastern Ontario hospitals through the Ontario Telemedicine Network, and are an accredited group learning activity under section 1 activity for the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. These rounds are also available to Department of Medicine members as live on demand (viewed from personal computer) or archived (accessible after 2 weeks). Divisions within the department are assigned individual rounds; topics also include CPC (Clinical Pathology Case) presentations held twice yearly, rounds on medical education, gender medicine, psychology and other special topics. Please view the individual rounds listing by date to view topic. Please note that there are no Grand Rounds in July or August.
