Dr. Humphrey-Murto completed her MD and Internal Medicine studies at the University of Ottawa followed by Rheumatology training and a Masters in Education at the University of Toronto. As a clinician educator Dr. Humphrey-Murto maintains an active clinical practice at The Arthritis Center in General Rheumatology and at the Womenâ€™s Health Center in osteoporosis.
She has several administrative roles in education including Associate Director for the Academy for Innovation in Medical Education (AIME), Rheumatology Rotation Coordinator, Director of Education Research for the Department of Medicine and is the University of Ottawa representative for Canadian Association for Medical Education. She has been actively involved in OSCE examinations at the University of Ottawa, the Medical Council of Canada and at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Her research interests involve performance based assessment at all levels and the use of non experts in evaluation and teaching.
