The Division of Cardiology at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute seeks a full-time cardiologist with specialization in cardiac MRI. The candidate would fulfill clinical academic roles as a clinician-scientist or clinician-teacher/clinician-investigator.
Â The University of Ottawa Heart Institute is a large tertiary centre providing cardiovascular care to Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. The successful applicants would join a group of four cardiac MRI imagers including three radiologists and one cardiologist. The cardiac MRI program performs over 300 studies a year. The facilities include state-of-the-art 1.5T Siemens scanner. As well the Ottawa Heart Institute has large imaging team (including 12 cardiologists) with dedicated cardiac CTA, SPECT, PET and echocardiography facilities.

Candidates must hold the FRCPC in Internal Medicine with subsequent certification in Cardiology or equivalent specialty certification. Candidates must have Level 3 training in cardiac MRI. A special interest and/or training in congenital imaging is encouraged. Applicants for the clinician-scientist and investigators position must have a significant publication record appropriate for their rank.
Academic appointment ranking will be based on qualifications and experience.
Clinical work will include in and out-patient cardiology.
