Adenovirus-Mediated Gene Therapy for the Treatment of Genetic and Acquired Diseases

Educational Objectives: 

1. To provide an overview of the current status of gene therapy clinical trials worldwide.

2. To present current research in the Parks lab dedicated to developing novel gene therapy-based strategies to treat genetic and acquired diseases.

3. To provide an overview of the University of Ottawa Centre for Neuromuscular Disease – uniting local basic and clinical neuromuscular research.

4. To discuss efforts in The Ottawa Hospital Department of Medicine to enhance integration of basic and clinical research.
