From Admissions to Fellowship: A Sampler of Medical Education Research

By the end of the session the participants will:

1. Be familiar with three Medical Education projects within our university covering the following topics:

  • Selection of Medical Students and the role of Emotional Intelligence
  • Assessment of Procedural Skills in Internal Medicine
  • Development of a National Curriculum for a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Area of Focused Competence (AFC)

2. Understand the role of scholarship in facilitating best evidence medical education.

3. Become familiar with opportunities and resources to support medical education research in the Department of Medicine.
