Educational Objectives:

  1. Explore potential biases associated with using urgent hospital readmission rates to measure quality of patient care.
  2. Determine how readmission rates can be used to compare avoidable readmission rates between hospitals.
  3. Examine methods to rank hospitals by their avoidable readmission rates.
